Consul General: Studying abroad could lead to permanent residency
A memorandum of understanding was signed yesterday between Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, the International College of Advance Education (ICAE), and Alana Kaye College that would allow Negros Occidental Scholarship Program (NOSP) recipients to study in Australia.
Eligible students enrolled in the NOSP “Study now, Pay later” program may study for two years at schools in Darwin, Australia. Those taking up hospitality management and cookery coursework are provided the opportunity to study at ICAE; while early childhood and care students could study at Alana Kaye College.
According to NOSP head Karen Dinsay, there are 10 spots available, five for each school.
Meanwhile, Philippine Consul General to the Northern Territory Januario John Rivas said the scholarship opportunity also provides a chance to apply for permanent residency in Australia./WDJ
