CSAV triumphs in men’s basketball

Junior Essakadoualla scored the game-winner for Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias (CSAV) in their 85-84 win over Enderun Colleges last Saturday at the University of San Agustin gym to take the men’s basketball title at the 24th University Games
“I am happy to be able to win a UniGames championship in my final year,” said CSAV player Jeffrey Manday, who was named Player of the Match. “It was tough because I was defended well by the Enderun players but I am happy to still contribute to the win.”
Trailing by a point at 84-83, Essakadoualla converted an alley-oop dunk to push CSAV ahead with 19.2 seconds remaining in the game.
On the ladies’ side, Enderun also found themselves coming in second place, losing 64-58 to De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in the finals./ASC, WDJ
