Negros Occidental provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, recently revealed the provincial government is losing millions due to delays with major infrastructure projects. He cited the delayed completion of Negros Food Terminal along the North Capitol road and the multi-purpose building that is being built next to the National Bureau of Investigation office along Aguinaldo Street in Bacolod City, the Negros First Residences, and the Mambukal Convention Center Hotel at the Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia.
He said they will meet with the contractors of the food terminal and multi-purpose building to discuss the delays and urge them to hasten completion of the projects.
As for the Capitol-operated hotel, Diaz said it is still under construction and the elevator has not been fully completed.
“We expect it to be fully operational in the summer of next year,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Mambukal Convention Center Hotel is currently being assessed for durability./DGB, WDJ
