11 other cops recommended for dismissal
By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga

Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) director, Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, confirmed he has relieved nine police officers for alleged involvement with illegal drug activities.
PRO-6 identified the nine law enforcement personnel as Police Sergeant Charlie Lamis Blanza; Patrolmen Angelo Ca-al, Henson Digon, Kennet Escolta, John Paul Talaban, and Joselito Colantro, Jr.; Police Staff Sergeant Jojie Salahid; and Police Corporals Victor Jimenia and Pedrito Lupo.
Aside from the nine, 11 other police officers were also recommended for dismissal, although Watchmen Daily Journal has chosen not to release their names pending approval of the recommendation.
According to Pamuspusan, the relief order was part of PRO-6’s ongoing internal cleansing.
The law enforcement official said he has no second thoughts relieving erring police officers, especially those involved in illegal drugs, and noted, PRO-6 will further boost counterintelligence efforts.
He also ordered all cops in the region to strengthen their neutralization efforts of high-value drug targets.
In a press conference held last Wednesday, Pamuspusan affirmed he had signed the dismissal papers for another police officer involved in illegal drugs./DGB, WDJ
