The chief of police for Murcia was immediately relieved of duty following a surprise inspection by Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6). Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) Director, Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, confirmed Police Major Roberto Indiape was relieved after PRO-6 director, Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, encountered, what as described as, a “messy” police station.
During the inspection, pillows and laundry were found strewn across the station’s finance office.
Aside from Indiape, two other police officers were also relieved after they were identified as the owners of the materials in question.
Baleros said the two police officers will be transferred to the Hinoba-an and Candoni municipal police stations, while Indiape was reassigned to NOPPO headquarters in Bacolod City.
In response to his relief, Indiape said he is currently on leave and has yet to receive formal orders.
Meanwhile, Pamuspusan also inspected police stations in La Castellana, Binalbagan, Moises Padilla, and La Carlota City.
During his visit to La Carlota City, Pamuspusan awarded the “Medalya ng Papuri” to the local police station for maintaining cleanliness./DGB, WDJ
