PRO-6: Bacolod City’s drug problem is more severe than Iloilo City
By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga

Law enforcement in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City are currently monitoring seven drug groups believed to be operating in the province. Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director, Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, identified the groups as the Ramos Drug Group, Divinagracia Drug Group, Bacus Drug Group, Burgos Drug Group, Macundato Drug Group, and Vetusio Drug Group.
For Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director, Police Colonel Henry Biñas, despite not specifically naming the drug group operating in the city, he did note during an earlier press conference that the leader is identified as a “she.”
During his weekly press conference yesterday morning, Baleros said, despite six drug groups operating within the province, there is currently no visible “big time drug lord.”
The NOPPO chief said he plans to release pictures of drug group leaders soon, adding, the reason why he identified them is for the public to gain knowledge of their presence.
Meanwhile, during his visit to Bacolod City last Monday, Police Regional Office-6 director, Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, said they have “no boundaries” when it comes to the campaign of illegal drugs.
The law enforcement official pointed out, the drug problem in Bacolod City is far more serious compared to Iloilo.
He added, the campaign against illegal drugs is a collaborative effort./DGB, WDJ
