More adolescents and young professionals have availed of the services offered by the “kNOwTell” health and wellness lounge at Robinsons Place Iloilo.

Joseph Carlo Carillo, Department of Health (DOH)-6 Nurse V, said that “kNOwTell” is the country’s first mall-based clinic that provides preventive and promotive health care.

“We have served about 837 clients since the facility was launched last May,” he said.

He said that the mall-based facility aims to ensure that the reach of health information is expanded through health information sharing or “what you KNOW you TELL,” while keeping private information confidential or “No Tell.”

“We have full staff of doctors, nurses, and midwives, and we have a psychometrician on Saturdays,” he said.

He said the health and wellness lounge is open daily on mall hours, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Services that are offered include pregnancy testing; pre-natal check-up (to include physical check-up, vitamins and pregnancy counseling); Family Planning (FP) services (short or long acting FP commodities); and HIV screening, counseling, and testing.

Likewise, clients can also avail psycho-social risk assessment, counseling, “Brief Advise” 5 (counseling on tobacco, alcohol and drugs); and screening, counseling, and referral for chest X-ray. (JBG/LTP/PIA-Iloilo)
