After Negros Occidental provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, quoted the electric bill for the Panaad Park and Stadium at P600,000, the provincial government said they would strictly monitor electricity consumption. Diaz explained, the bills do not cover consumption of the entire stadium but the pavilions.
“That’s why, through the Provincial Engineer’s Office, we are checking who are the conscientious users and who are not,” he pointed out.
The provincial government shoulders the electricity costs for the 32 Negros Occidental local government units, including Bacolod City, with permanent pavilions at the park.
Meanwhile, Diaz said cleaning and road clearing operations have also been implemented at Panaad Park, which is currently undergoing repairs in preparation for upcoming events.
Seal-off operations are also ongoing, which includes the demolition illegal structures within the Panaad compound.
“Regulation of people coming into the Panaad premises from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. should also be observed,” the provincial official added../DGB, WDJ
