F2 Logistics Cargo Movers retained the Philippine Superliga Invitational Cup following their recent 25-22, 25-19, 17-25, 22-25, 15-12 win over the Petron Blaze Spikers last Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Kalei Mau tallied 30 points, including 27 attacks and three service aces, for F2 Logistics; while Mary Joy Baron scored 15 points; Kianna Dy contributed 14 points; Ilongga middle blocker Abigail Maraño also drained five of the team’s 11 blocks to finish with 10 points; and Dawn Macandili protected the floor with 26 digs and nine excellent receptions.
In the final set, F2 Logistics surged to a 10-4 start; however, Petron narrowed the gap to 10-8. The eventual champions then went on to pull ahead to 14-11 with Petron ending the match with an error.
In the consolation match, the Cignal HD Spikers pulled off a 25-22, 25-15, 25-17 sweep over the Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy./ASC, WDJ
