Nearly P1.6 million worth of suspected shabu was seized late Wednesday afternoon after joint elements of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-6 and Police Station 7 (PS7) conducted a buy-bust operation in Bacolod City’s Barangay Mansilingan.
Police identified the arrested suspect as 37-year-old Rene ‘Dodoy’ Tubongbanua, a resident of the said area.
Based on information provided by PS7, they arrested Tubongbanua after he sold shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P2,000.
A search yielded four elongated and 46 big sachets of suspected shabu and two pouches.
Tubongbanua is now detained at PS7 and faces illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
