Ilonggo mixed martial artist Rene Catalan is unfazed by his “underdog” tag for the upcoming ONE Championship: Masters of Fate event on November 8 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, where he will meet fellow Filipino, strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio.
“He’s really good, he has youth by his side and he has an excellent camp; there are a lot of people who can help him,” he said. “I know that I’m the underdog.”
“I am confident in this match,” the Ilonggo fighter added. “I will stay in front of him, wherever this match goes.”
Catalan went on to affirm his resolve.
“I am really determined to win, that’s my advantage,” he said. “Unanimous decision, that’s how I see this match is going.”/ASC, WDJ
