The Creamline Cool Smashers remained unbeaten in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference after scoring a 25-15, 25-18, 25-22 sweep over the PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers earlier this week at the San Juan Arena.
Risa Sato scored 12 points on nine attacks and added three kill blocks, while Jessica Galanza contributed 11 markers, and Rosemarie Vargas secured a double-double on 10 points and 15 excellent receptions.
The win put Creamline two games away from sweeping the elimination round.
“Every game, doon namin makikita ‘yung improvement ng bawat isa tsaka nung team (In every game, we see the improvement with each and every team),” Galanza said. “Dagdag morale din sa amin ‘yun every game, lalo pa’t nananalo kami (Our morale is boosted with every game, especially when we win).”
In the other game, the PetroGazz Angels pulled off a 25-20, 25-15, 25-14 sweep over the Philippine Air Force Lady Jet Spikers./ASC, WDJ
