Staff from the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education, alongside the Commission on Higher Education-Office of Institutional Quality Assurance and Governance, among other agencies, are currently conducting an evaluation visit at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) to determine the school’s readiness to be designated a state university.
Earlier this year, President Rodrigo Duterte signed legislation recognizing CHMSC as a state university.
The three-day visit, which ends tomorrow, October 18, includes document analyses of programs offered, interviews with key officials and informants, and inspections of facilities and learning resources.
All CHMSC campuses will undergo evaluations including locations in Talisay City, Binalbagan, and Bacolod City’s Fortune Towne and Barangay Alijis./WDJ
