AdMU beats FEU, goes 11-0 in UAAP men’s basketball

Ateneo De Manila University (AdMU) recovered from a flat start to score a 65-55 victory over Far Eastern University (FEU) yesterday in the 82nd UAAP men’s basketball season at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Angelo Kouame tallied 10 points for AdMU, Ilonggo forward Ferdinand ‘Thirdy’ Ravena III scored a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards, and Pat Maagdenberg contributed nine markers.
Down 40-29 at the half, AdMU worked their way back in the third behind Ravena, Kouame, and Adrian Wong to narrow the gap to 47-46 going into the final quarter.
Into the fourth, AdMU continued its run with seven straight unanswered points in the first three-and-a-half minutes to take a 54-47 lead.
FEU made their final push and got to within 57-55 on consecutive triples from Wendell Comboy but AdMU replied with eight straight points to build its largest lead of 65-55.
In other results, De La Salle University came from behind to pull off a 65-59 win over the University of the East./ASC, WDJ
