Bacolod City Councilor Dindo Ramos, who chairs the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Transportation, is seeking coordination with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Region VI (LTFRB-6) following claims their satellite office in the city’s Barangay Mansilingan was closed.
Concerns arose after Sentrong Samahan ng Tsuper at Operators Negros Secretary-General Jessie Ortega released a statement claiming the office was set to be closed.
The city official said he has been unable to get in contact with LTFRB-6 Director Richard Osmeña.
“I called him and the phone only rings,” Ramos insisted. “I texted him and there is no reply.”
However, Osmeña has since denied the office was being shuttered and said they are working on transferring.
He went on to explain, they have to vacate their current office because there is a problem with ownership of the building.
The regional director said he is open to open a dialogue with the city government./DGB, WDJ
