Magnolia defeats Alaska, 95-90

The Magnolia Hotshots continued its rise in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup after scoring a 95-90 victory over the Alaska Aces last Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Ian Sangalang top-scored for Magnolia with a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Romeo Travis contributed 17 points and 14 boards.
After going back-and-forth throughout the game, the score was eventually tied at 73-all early in the fourth period when Magnolia went on a rally behind Ian Sangalang and Jiovani Jalalon for a 90-83 edge. While clinging to a 94-88 edge, Alaska made their last push and got as close as 94-90 before Magnolia tightened its defense and escaped with the win.
In other results, the Meralco Bolts beat the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters, 111-94./ASC, WDJ
