Bacolod City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (BCPO-CDEU) operatives seized about P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu yesterday afternoon from two suspects following a buy-bust operation in the city’s Barangay Banago.
Police identified the arrested suspect as 24-year-old John Carlo Serfino of the city’s Barangay 1. He was arrested alongside a minor companion whom police have requested anonymity.
Operatives arrested the suspect after a police asset handed buy-bust money worth P1,000 to Serfino in exchange for a sachet of suspected shabu.
Police said the estimated weight of the seized illicit substance was around 110 grams and worth P1.325 million.
Serfino is now under Police Station 3 custody pending the filing of the charges for violations to the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Meanwhile, the minor was turned over to the Social Development Center./DGB, WDJ
