Mayor: Duterte is attending this year

Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia yesterday confirmed President Rodrigo Duterte will attend this year’s MassKara Festival. During a press conference yesterday, Leonardia said he invited Duterte during a League of Cities in the Philippines meeting over the weekend.
The mayor said he asked Duterte if he can come for this year’s festival and the president gave him an affirmative.
However, Leonardia said there is currently no definitive date for when the president will arrive.
Duterte’s visit will be the fourth time attending the MassKara Festival after winning the presidency in 2016.
