Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia yesterday announced the city’s clearing operations are 94 percent complete. During a press conference at the Mayor’s Office, he called it “something that we can be proud of.”
The press conference was held as the Department of Interior and Local Government is set to arrive today to conduct inspections.
Meanwhile, Executive Assistant for Barangay Affairs Butch Soliguen said 29 of the city’s 61 barangays are reportedly 100 percent cleared, while several others are said to be at 90 percent.
The lowest number was said to be 70 percent.
He noted, while road clearing will continue, Barangay 41 was not subject to the operations as it is a business district./DGB, WDJ
