The Bacolod Master Sardines loaded its roster amid the ongoing Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Cup after acquiring Jessie Saitanan, Benedict Adamos, and Jess Mar Villahermosa in separate trades.
Saitanan arrived from the San Juan Knights after Bacolod agreed to send Haddi Porto and Lloyd Castor away; while Villahermosa and Adamos came via the Bataan Risers in exchange for Jerome Ortega and Ralph Tansingco.
Saitanan, a former Mapúa University standout, previously played in the PBA with NorthPort Batang Pier and TNT KaTropa, along with suiting up for the Magnolia Hotshots when they won last year’s Governors’ Cup.
Villahermosa earlier played with San Beda University and MPBL team, the Caloocan Supremos; while Adamos will soon be finishing his tenure with University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Atlas.
Meanwhile, Bacolod recently signed homegrown player Mark dela Cruz./ASC, WDJ
