Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) and De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde both edged closer to the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference finals after their recent wins at the San Juan Arena. AdMU scored a 25-15, 26-28, 25-16, 25-18 win over the University of Santo Tomas ; while Benilde went five sets and pulled off a 26-24, 29-27, 17-25, 21-25, 15-13 victory over Adamson University.
Faith Nisperos tallied a double-double for AdMU with 19 points and 14 excellent digs, while Erika Raagas scored 16 points, Vanie Gandler added 15 markers, Jaja Maraguinot made her presence felt with 21 excellent sets, and Ilongga libero Dani Ravena had 30 excellent digs and 15 excellent receptions.
“Every day is a learning day and you just have to acknowledge what you can do, and what you can contribute to the team,” said AdMU head coach Oliver Almandro.
Meanwhile, Klarissa Abriam posted a double-double for Benilde with 27 points and 16 excellent digs; while Gayle Pascual added 23 markers on 19 attacks, and three blocks./ASC, WDJ
