San Miguel wallops Alaska in the Governors’ Cup

The San Miguel Beermen scored a 109-83 victory over the Alaska Aces in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup over the weekend at the Santa Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Laguna.
Dezmine Wells tallied 25 points and seven rebounds for the Beermen; while Terrence Romeo chipped in 18 markers; as June Mar Fajardo, Alex Cabagnot, Kelly Nabong, and Arwind Santos each added 10 points.
Despite being without Justin Watts, Alaska kept in step early on and took a 29-24 lead before the Beermen turned things around in the second period, behind Wells Romeo and Fajardo, and went up 49-42 at halftime.
San Miguel then pulled ahead in the second half with Wells attacking the Alaska defense and building their biggest lead of 35 points following three straight triples by Von Pessumal./ASC, WDJ
