Despite sweeping the 4th Brother’s Cup Volleyball Collegiate Invitational elimination round over weekend, defeating the University of St. La Salle (USLS), Central Philippine University, and Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, at the USLS covered court in Bacolod City, Bacolod Tay Tung High School was disqualified ahead of the finals.

According to organizers, the Bacolod City high school was not eligible to compete for the championships as a “guest team.”

“This is surprising,” said a member of the Tay Tung team. “They should have said it before the start of the tournament that we are just a guest team.”/ASC, WDJ
