The NLEX Road Warriors scored a 115-109 victory over the Blackwater Elite in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup last night at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Laguna.

Oluseyi Ashaoulu tallied a double-double with 31 points and 10 rebounds for NLEX; while Ilonggo point guard Kiefer Ravena added 25 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

NLEX opened the game down by double figures before turned things around in the second period behind Ravena and Kenneth Ighalo for a 62-56 halftime lead.

In the third, NLEX lost an eight-point lead after the Elite went on a run and tied the game up at 75-75.

However, NLEX managed to pull ahead, taking an 85-81 lead.

NLEX then unloaded consecutive triples from Ravena and Philip Paniamogan in the fourth to take a 106-95 edge. Blackwater made one last push but Ashaolu sealed the win with free throws./ASC, WDJ
