Negros Occidental third district Rep. Francisco Benitez recently met with representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), among others, regarding an alignment of the 41.4-kilometer Bacolod-Victorias Coastal Road project.
According to Engr. Albert Cañete of Urban Engineers, a partner firm of the DPWH-Bureau of Design, project implementation is set for mid-2020.
The project is expected to cost P25 billion.
Also in attendance were EB Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon; Negros Occidental Provincial Planning and Development Office head, Dr. Marlin Sanogal; Victorias City Councilor Derek Palanca; District Engineer Jaime Javellana; among others./WDJ
