Valladolid Mayor Enrique Miravalles won yesterday’s presidential election for the Negros Occidental chapter of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines.
Miravalles edged out San Enrique Mayor Jilson Tubillara by a close 10-9 vote.
Meanwhile, Murcia Mayor Jerry Rojas was named vice president after beating Don Salvador Benedicto Mayor Marxlen Dela Cruz in a toss coin.
Among other winners included Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan as secretary, Manapla Mayor Manolet Escalante – treasurer, Toboso Mayor Richard Jaojoco – auditor, Cauayan Mayor John Rey Tabujara – public relations officer.
Meanwhile, other town mayors were appointed to the Board of Directors./DGB, WDJ
