Bacolod City police commanders undergo reshuffling

Bacolod City’s police commanders underwent reshuffling this week; however, officials are still awaiting approval from Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6). For the time being, the reshuffled commanders will be referred to as “officer-in-charge.”
Based on information from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), Police Station 7 (PS7) commander, Police Major Sherlock Gabana, was transferred to Police Station 2 and replaces Police Captain Leo Estopa. Meanwhile, Police Station 2 deputy commander, Police Lieutenant Florentino Abalayan, was appointed PS7 officer-in-charge.
Additionally, Police Station 9 commander, Police Captain Jun Ray Batadlan, was replaced by Police Lieutenant Dionito Pastrana, who was formerly assigned to BCPO headquarters.
In other changes, BCPO deputy director, Police Lt. Colonel Leonardo Borromeo, stepped down from his post and was replaced by BCPO spokesperson, Police Lt. Colonel Ariel Pico.
Information obtained by local media also suggested Estopa, Batadlan, and Borromeo will undergo schooling.
In addition, Pico will continue to serve as BCPO spokesperson, human rights officer, along with heading the police community relations division./DGB, WDJ
