AdMU beats UE, remains undefeated in UAAP men’s basketball

A second half surge from Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) secured an 85-68 win over the University of the East earlier this week in the 82nd UAAP men’s basketball season at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Angelo Kouame tallied a double-double for AdMU with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Ilonggo forward Ferdinand ‘Thirdy’ Ravena III added 15 points, and Adrian Wong scored 11 markers.
AdMU struggled in the opening half, where they were down by as much as seven points, before regaining their form in the third behind Kouame for a 69-50 edge.
Their lead grew further in the fourth with Wong and Ravena contributing on offense.
In the other game, the University of the Philippines pulled off a narrow 72-71 win over De La Salle University./ASC, WDJ
