The Bacolod Master Sardines picked up Arellano University’s Alfren Gayosa following the recent Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) dispersal draft. The 6’2” Gayosa previously played for the University of Santo Tomas and San Sebastian College-Recoletos, and joined the Negrense team after being released by the Pasay Voyagers.
In exchange, Bacolod lost Adamson University center Jan Julius Colina, who was subsequently drafted by Zamboanga Family Sardines.
Prior to their most recent signing, Bacolod earlier picked up free agent guard Jerick Canada, who suited up for the team during last weekend’s 89-80 home game win against the Soccsksargen Marlins./ASC, WDJ
