The ‘Yanson 4’—comprised of siblings Roy, Ricardo, Jr., Emily, and Celina—recently objected to a disinheritance motion filed by their mother, Olivia Yanson. In a message, the group said they were “blindsided” by the petition, which was initially filed last April.
The petition was reportedly notarized on February 13, 2019, two weeks prior to a mediation between the family matriarch and her six children, which took place on February 26 before Judge Franklin Demonteverde. They claimed, during mediation, the elder Yanson’s legal team negotiated the transfer of shares of Yanson Group of Bus Companies stock.
They pointed out, the disinheritance petition was notarized before requesting her children to surrender their shares.
The ‘Yanson 4’ said their mother’s actions are indicative of “ulterior motives” and claimed she plans to “remove the authority from her four children and transfer them to her two other children, namely Ginette Yanson-Dumancas and Leo Rey Yanson.”
Meanwhile, in a message from Atty. Raul Bitoon, who represents the siblings, he said the Bacolod Regional Trial Court-Branch 44 will again hear the petition for probate regarding Olivia Yanson’s last will and testament on November 6, 2019.
During a previous hearing, the attorney said counsel for the ‘Yanson 4’ filed their opposition to the petition of probate.
