Ford Philippines yesterday brought its Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) program back to Bacolod City with hopes of educating drivers to be safer and more responsible on the road. The auto company first brought the program to Bacolod City last year and was attended by over 250 private and public utility drivers, student drivers, and traffic and road management personnel.
The program intends to teach drivers about the benefits of smart, safe, and fuel-efficient driving as well as necessary driving skills to help minimize road accidents, altercations, and traffic congestion.
For this year’s program, Ford is looking to partner with local taxi, bus, and ride-sharing companies as well as traffic management bureaus, colleges, and universities within Bacolod City.
Aside from public utility vehicle operators, Ford is also reaching out to business process outsourcing companies to encourage their employees to attend the DSFL program.
This year’s DSFL program will emphasize the dangers of distracted driving and drunk driving, as well as tips and techniques on driving under special conditions. Drivers attending the event will also be refreshed on road statistics and relevant regulations such as the Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act.
The DSFL program will be held today at the SMX Convention Center at SM City Bacolod with one training session at 9:00 a.m. and another at 2:00 p.m./DGB, WDJ
