The Aleosan District Hospital in Alimodian, Iloilo recently earned its second Department of Health (DOH) Star Award. Recipients are judged on safety and infection control, service provision, customer and employee satisfaction, community-based projects/programs, and quality improvements.
The hospital is one of 10 Level I hospitals to receive the award. Level I refers to a hospital that is able to provide basic treatments.
DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III said the awards are intended to encourage both private and public hospitals to improve service and enhance compliance with regulatory requirements.
Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. lauded the hospital for the achievement and encouraged personnel to “keep up the good work.”/WDJ
