While in Bacolod City over the weekend for the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League game where the Bacolod Master Sardines scored an 89-80 win over the Soccsksargen Marlins at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum, Senator Manny Pacquiao responded to questions regarding a much-hyped rematch between him and Floyd Mayweather, Jr., saying, “Anytime.”
He also added, it will not be an exhibition bout.
The eight-division champion said the decision rests on Mayweather, noting, “If he still has the strength to fight.”
Last July, Pacquiao bagged the World Boxing Association super welterweight title following a split decision win over American fighter Keith Thurman.
Manny Pacquiao Promotions President Sean Gibbons named three boxers last month who could potentially be the Filipino fighter’s next opponent. He named American boxers Danny Garcia, Mikey Garcia, and Shawn Porter./DGB, WDJ
