Bacolod City is undeniably the next destination for investment as local and foreign entities are coming in and addressing the needs of visitors. The Bacolod City government is planning to build for tourism infrastructure and tackle projects such as a “coastal boulevard,” conservation and restoration of the Bacolod Public Plaza, Sum- ag river development, and a nature park.
In addition, a coastal road linking Bacolod City to the rest of northern Negros Occidental is currently in the works.
The Citadines Bacolod City, a project under the Cebu Landmasters and the Ascott Limited Strategic Alliance, is a new hotel project. Designed by Jose Pedro ‘Bong’ Recio, principal architect for Rchitects Inc., it is expected to boast 200 rooms.
