Provincial Board Member Andrew Montelibano, who chairs the Provincial Board Committee on Games and Amusements, is asking for the implementing rules and regulations (IRR) for small town lottery operations, which formally resumed on September 1.
He explained, the IRR will explain the obligation such gaming operations have to the province.
Previously, portions of small town lottery revenues went towards a trust fund that could be used by local government units, the provincial official noted.
Meanwhile, Montelibano said he plans to question the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office on explaining the difference between small town lottery and “Peryahan Ng Bayan” operations./DGB, WDJ
