Far Eastern University (FEU) scored a 66-55 win over De La Salle University (DLSU) last Wednesday in the 82nd UAAP men’s basketball season at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Patrick Tchuente tallied double-double of 19 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks for FEU. Additionally, Wendell Comboy delivered five of the team’s last seven points to finish with 11 markers while shooting 3-of-9 clip from threes, along with added two rebounds.
“I’m just proud of the way we played today coming off that loss to Ateneo,” said FEU head coach Olsen Racela.
FEU dominated from the opening period with Tchuente building the team’s largest lead at 38-24 just before the start of the third quarter.
Midway into the fourth, however, DLSU went on a run and got as close as 56-50 but Comboy anchored an FEU 10-3 blast to bring their lead to 64-53 with 1:35 left to play./ASC, WDJ
