Negros Occidental observes ‘Tourism Month’

“Tourism Month” is observed throughout September and, with celebrations being held across the country, Negros Occidental appeared to be the most active and the best presenter among the provinces in the Western Visayas. While the entire region continues to make its mark on the “world tourism map,” Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and his tourism officers have set up exhibits at local malls, along with various localities participating in a food parade.
I attended the event alongside Pinky Hautea, Ver Pacete, and Maricar Dabao, which was a success./WDJ

Kabankalan City presented the Kabankalan Sinulog Festival.
Talisay City focused their exhibit on local tourist attractions.
Lanzones from Talisay City were featured during the food parade.
Calatrava highlighted a local monkey sanctuary.
Cadiz City showcased their Dinagsa Festival, which is held every January.
