The Bacolod Master Sardines are set to meet the Soccsksargen Marlins in their first Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup home game at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City this weekend, September 21. The event will be part of a double-header, preceded by a meeting between Davao Occidental Tigers and Basilan Steel.
The Bacolod City squad includes five homegrown players including Mark Dela Cruz, Nico Javelona, ES Santos, Arben Dionson, and Spencer Pretta. However, Pretta is expected to make his debut for the team later in the season as he is currently playing with Lyceum of the Philippines University in the ongoing NCAA men’s basketball season.
Also on the roaster are Jan Colina, Jeff Javillonar, JP Cauilan, Jerome Ortega, Louie Medalla, Von Lanete, Carl Soriano, Lloyd Castor, Arnold Daganan, Justine Alano, and William Vasalio.
Meanwhile, local players are also included on the other teams including Sagay City native Mark Yee, who plays for Davao Occidental; along with Bacolodnon guard Daniel Bautista featuring for Basilan./ASC, WDJ
