UST beats NU in overtime

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) scored an 87-74 overtime win over National University over the weekend in the 82nd UAAP men’s basketball season at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Struggling through the first three quarters, Rhenz Abando led a fourth quarter run for UST and turned a 68-63 deficit into a 70-70 tie, forcing the game to go into overtime. UST then continued to pour it on in the extension period as three-pointers from Abando and Sherwin Concepcion, along with an inside hit from Soulemane Chabi Yo, gave them an 81-73 edge.
Abando finished with 21 points, six rebounds, and two assists; while Chabi Yo led with 23 points, 20 rebounds, and four assists; and rookie Sherwin Concepcion earned a career-high 13 points and six rebounds.
