Bacolod City – Riverside College, known for producing quality professionals in healthcare services for the world, celebrates with a Pizza and Ice Cream Party for having a good three of the top ten board examination passers for Physical Therapists.
Riverside College President and CEO Samuel Z. Lee said, “We are very proud that Bacolod is one of the best PT schools in the Philippines. You don’t have to go to Manila, Iloilo or Cebu to enter a top school for physical therapy.”
“We are very proud of our achievements in Physical Therapy. That’s what we can do for Bacolod City,” Lee said.
According to Riverside College External Affairs Manager Mr. Jade Sunico, in 2017 Riverside College was Top 4 Performing School for Physical Therapist nationwide. “The core values of Riverside College are Excellence and Quality. What differentiates Riverside College from other schools also is the outstanding nurturing environment where we really take care of our students.”
“In 2018, Riverside College got the Top Physical Therapist Board Exam with Krisha Marie G. Badillo who ranked number 1 and this year we have these three topnotchers, and hopefully more next year, ” said Sunico.
Riverside College got the three out of the top ten places in August 2019 Physical Therapist Board Exam with successful examinees Takuya Nojas Aiuchi (Rank 2), Adnan Nillos Balisi (Rank 3), and Valerie Mae Geanga Tolentino (Rank 6), Aiuchi, 21, Rank 2 Topnotcher said, “I don’t know how to react at first. I went to a movie but I know the result will be out that afternoon but I switched my phone to airplane mode so that I can enjoy the movie. When I switched off the airplane mode on my phone then went the calls informing me that I was Rank 2, I was very happy.”
Balisi said of knowing he was on the top ten, “It was overwhelming and I cannot believe it at first. I was still in Cebu back then and I was sleeping when a call from the faculty informed me that the result was already out and I was on the top 3.”
Tolentino said she was expecting she will pass the exam but not as Top 6. “I was confident because I really studied hard, exerted effort during the review and really focused on my goal of passing the exam and tried my best. I can say that I have a good foundation from college. If one has the good foundation, the result of the board exam is much better.”
Tolentino graduated Magna Cum Laude, Balisi graduated Summa Cum Laude, while Aiuchi was Best Physical Therapy Intern. The three topnotchers recommend Riverside College to those graduating in senior high school for their college courses in the future.
When asked what are their secrets to top the examination they said they have a good foundation in the school, were carefully following instructions during the review and they prayed hard.
Mr. Samuel Z. Lee said that Riverside College works as a team and they have a strong sense of community and they help each other. Lee also said Riverside College has the best facility even compared to Manila and they are connected technologically with the world. (PR)
