A groundbreaking recently took place for a 22-kilometer farm-to-market road connecting Guihulngan City barangays Hilaitan and Trinidad. Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo led the event for the project that is estimated to cost P370 million.
The road will also connect the Negros Oriental city with Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, which, once completed, will improve the delivery of basic services to remote areas affected by the New People’s Army.
The governor was accompanied by Guihulngan City Vice Mayor Ernesto Reyes; Philippine Army 303rd Infantry Brigade commander, Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo; and Police Colonel Rizalito Gapas of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office./DGB, WDJ
