Motolite overcomes resurgent BanKo Perlas

The Motolite Power Builders recently pulled off a 25-16, 25-21, 19-25, 29-31, 19-17 win over the BanKo Perlas Spikers in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the San Juan Arena.
Diana Carlos led Motolite with 29 points, while Maria Lina Molde scored a double-double with 24 points and 18 excellent digs.
The former University of the Philippines duo were most effective in the deciding set as they turned an 11-8 deficit to a 13-12 advantage.
With the score tied 17-all, BanKo Perlas committed back-to-back errors to close the match.
“Kinausap naman na kami ni coach about it and kailangan talaga namin mag-step up (We had a talk with the coach and we needed to step-up),” Carlos said. “Wala naman kaming choice kasi wala nang ibang magi-step up sa team (We had no choice because nobody else on the team stepped up).”/ASC, WDJ
