An estimated 1.5 kilograms of marijuana was seized late Wednesday night following a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency buy-bust operation in Bacolod City’s Barangay Mandalagan.
PDEA agents identified the arrested suspect as 29-year-old Vergilio Rivera, Jr., a resident of the city’s Barangay Pahanocoy.
According to PDEA agents, they arrested Rivera after he allegedly sold marijuana to an undercover agent outside a bar in the area.
Following a subsequent search, agents recovered the rest of the dried marijuana leaves, which they estimated to have a market value of P200,000.
Rivera faces illegal drugs charges and is currently detained at Police Station 3./DGB, WDJ
