Magnolia Hotshots head coach Chito Victolero said they are gearing up to defend their PBA Governors’ Cup title with the upcoming season set to kick off next week, September 20. The coach said they have to prepare for the San Miguel Beermen in particular as the latter is seeking a “grand slam.”
“Alam naman namin na San Miguel is looking for a Grand Slam (We know the San Miguel Beermen are looking for a ‘grand slam’),” he said. “Kailangan lang namin mag-prepare ng maayos (We just need to prepare well).”
“We are the defending champions,” the coach added. “We are looking forward to this conference.”
Victolero also mentioned the acquisitions made by other teams.
“Lahat ng teams are looking for a great conference (All teams are looking for a great conference),” he explained. “Magaganda ‘yung batch ng imports ngayon (This current batch of imports are good).”/ASC, WDJ
