Stallion Laguna blanks Air Force, 2-0

Stallion Laguna FC scored a 2-0 win over Philippine Air Force FC last Sunday in the 2019 Philippines Football League (PFL) at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas.
The Laguna-based side opened scoring in the 14th minute with a goal from Ilonggo midfielder Jesus Melliza. Fellow midfielder Fitch Arboleda later doubled the lead in the 65th minute.
Earlier in the weekend, Green Archers United scored a 2-1 win last Saturday over Mendiola FC.
After Green Archers striker Christian Zubiri and Mendiola forward Ashley Flores tied things up with goals in the 12th and 16th minutes, respectively, a penalty kick by Green Archers midfielder Stephen Appiah in the 69th minute broke the deadlock.
The win allowed Stallion Laguna to pull ahead of Green Archers United by three points on the PFL table, leading 28 points to 25. In addition, the former also has one game in hand./ASC, WDJ
