Bacolod City’s Ayala Capitol Central Mall devoted last weekend to observing Grandparents’ Day, which included a variety of activities.
“[On] this Grandparents’ Day, we made sure grandparents felt that they were special and that we appreciate what they have done for us,” said Ayala Capitol Central Mall Marketing Manager Stephanie Soriano.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony kicked off the celebration, which featured members of the various agencies that partnered with the mall including the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of Bacolod, Office for Senior Citizens Affairs, and Philippine Veterans Affairs Office.
There was the “GRANDMoments Photo Corner,” where visitors could take pictures with their grandparents; along with a wellness and fitness fair, which provided free check-ups and medical services.
The mall also hosted “Lolo & Lola’s Day Out,” which featured “art-making,” face painting, interactive games, ballroom dancing, and live music./WDJ
