Calatrava native John Michael Zulueta will be fighting for the Asia Boxing Federation/International Boxing Federation light flyweight titles tomorrow at the Fort Bonifacio Marine Corps Jurado Hall gym in Taguig City, where he will face Mark Anthony Florida.
Earlier this year, Zulueta captured two International Boxing Organization (IBO) minimumweight titles at the Gaisano Grand Mall in Bacolod City. His unanimous decision win over Ariston Aton earned him the IBO Oceania and Oriental minimumweight belts.
“John Michael is taking this fight seriously,” said Highland Hayashi Boxing’s promoter Brico Santig. “This is boxing; every boxer has the capability to beat each other so John Michael is really training hard to have an impressive showing.”
Zulueta enters the fight with an unblemished 10-0-2 win-loss-draw record, including three stoppage wins; while Florida carries a 12-8-0 record with nine stoppage wins./ASC, WDJ
