During the recent joint meeting between the Provincial Development Council and Provincial Peace and Order Council, local government units were encouraged to borrow loans through the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), which would aid in providing housing.
SHFC President Arnolfo Ricardo Cabling said their loans accrue interest at 4.5 percent annually with payment periods up to 30 years.
“It is high time to give our constituents a comfortable shelter,” he noted.
The SHFC official said they currently have a memorandum of agreement with San Carlos City pertaining to a housing project for a resettlement area in the city.
“I hope [local government units] here will work with us,” Cabling urged./WDJ
