The Motolite Power Builders pulled off a 25-16, 22-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-10 win over the PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference last Sunday at the San Juan Arena.
Myla Pablo tallied 24 points for Motolite, including 23 attacks; while Maria Lina Molde added 19 markers; and Diana Carlos earned a triple-double with 14 points, 17 excellent digs, and 10 excellent receptions.
After splitting the first four sets, Motolite surged to a 12-8 advantage on an off-the-block hit by Pablo. PacificTown-Army then made their final push and got as close as 13-10. Motolite, however, would not allow their opponents to get any closer and delivered back-to-back off-the-block attacks from Molde to clinch the victory.
In the other match, the PetroGazz Angels cruised to their second straight win with a 25-16, 25-20, 25-23 sweep over the Philippine Air Force Lady Jet Spikers./ASC, WDJ
