The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is expected to deploy a 60-strong force to the Bacolod City Government Center to ensure security for today’s launch of the Bacolod City Justice Zone, which is an area where local justice sector agencies work to identify problems and seek out solutions.
According to BCPO spokesperson, Lt. Colonel Ariel Pico, it is a standard operating procedure to secure the area due to the presence of several VIPs. Among those expected to attend include Supreme Court Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin, Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año, and Department of Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.
Prior to the event, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia met with the staff from the Supreme Court-Program Management Office, City Legal Office, and BCPO to discuss security preparations./DGB, WDJ
